Washington, DC – The National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity (NCPPA) is proud to announce that Mark Richards, president and CEO of Appvion, signed the CEO Pledge-- a national campaign with the goal of encouraging every CEO in the United States to recognize physical activity as an important driver of employee health and business performance.
Richards has joined leaders of over 130 organizations in signing the Pledge, showing their commitment to workplace wellness in helping to reverse the nation’s obesity and chronic disease challenge. By signing the Pledge, these CEOs have made a public statement about their dedication to promoting physical activity and improving the health and wellness of themselves and their employees. The Pledge program also provides resources around evidence based strategies for promoting a culture of physical activity within an organization.
“By signing the CEO Pledge, Appvion has made a meaningful commitment to improving access to physical activity opportunities for their workers,” Said Scott Goudeseune, President of NCPPA. “Part of the power of the CEO Pledge program is the diversity of the organizations that have that we have participating, and we are pleased to include Appvion among these leaders committed to workplace wellness.”
