The National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity (NCPPA) is a diverse and dynamic blend of national health promotion organizations, national non-profits, private companies and government agencies who have joined in the common cause of increasing opportunities for physical activity levels of sedentary Americans.

The Coalition is more than a response to a critical national health imperative... it answers to the needs of its members as well. NCPPA provides a forum where its members can share ideas, learn from one another and coordinate their efforts. We serve as a way to maximize relationships among organizations working toward increasing physical activity opportunities. We enable entities -- including those with limited advocacy resources -- to become involved in the art of advocating for cutting edge legislation designed to engage Americans in physical activity. Further, NCPPA paves the way for information sharing on physical activity initiatives by distributing a wide variety of physical activity resources.

There has been an explosion in interest in the importance of physical activity in the past few years, and NCPPA is uniquely positioned to translate that interest into positive initiatives and health benefits for all Americans.
